"I specialize in acrylic painting, but wanted to push myself "outside the
box". I looked at my various plastic containers filled with pop can
tabs, bottle caps, beads, broken pairs of glasses and goggles, etc. and
had an idea: what if I used these “found” objects in a fresh, fun way by
combining them with an acrylic painting to create one-of-a-kind images?"

"Since then, I’ve created over a dozen works. I love the playfulness of
the pieces and the way that people view them on two levels: first they
see the overall image (i.e. dog), then they look again to see what all
has been used in its creation (puzzle pieces, wire, beads). I very much
try to “reduce, reuse, recycle” and this has been a perfect way to
incorporate that philosophy."
