The Oracle of Memesville is a strange, original comedy where
internet culture comes to life. “Not Known” (otherwise known as NK),
strolls into town with a big secret. The small town of Memesville, which
is settled on a dog's ear, holds an Oracle that can grant you any power
you wish. The action becomes a race between the Illuminati, a scary
swamp monster, and a deadbeat ex-Del Taco owner!   The Big
Question...Who will meet the Oracle first and get all of that power?
But that's not all. Along the way, there are many twists and turns with
the future of the cyber world held in a delicate balance.
Who is Article 13 and why are all the Meme's afraid of him? Will
Del-Taco continue to be a family owned restaurant?  What is Fre Shava
Cado truly made of?   Why does a certain man have a horse head on his
body?  And lastly, when will this play FINALLY begin?
`Answers await in the African Community Theatre, Oscar Richie
Hall, Kent State University. “The Oracle of Memesville” (Beware the Fre
Shava Cado), opening Friday, May 10, 7:30pm.

The New World Children’s Theater began as The New World Puppet
Theater at the North Water Street Gallery in Kent, Ohio, in January of
1993. Originally, it was comprised of home-school children. Throughout
the years , however, it has grown to include public-schooled children as
well. Eventually, the troupe outgrew the puppets and the ensemble became
The New World Children’s Theater, which has produced 32 plays since
1994. In addition to the emphasis on original play writing, the company
is dedicated to using recycled materials in the construction of its sets
and props. This fosters an understanding of a sustainable planet as well
as an understanding of how to work with limited resources. The only
requirement is a creative mind.

The New World Children’s Theatre is always looking for donations
to support students from low income families as well as our ongoing
activities. Donations are tax deductible and can be made to Standing
Rock Cultural Arts, 300 N. Water St., Suite H., Kent, Ohio 44240.

Thank you for supporting the kids.
